The Mums Matter campaign has just launched on Do Gooder and is off to a flying start!
From the campaigners:
“Young or old, mothers or those without children; the way Australia’s children are raised matters to us all. Current policy supporting childbearing women is poor, with band-aid remedies galore.
Mums Matter! demands that childbearing women are central to the policies that affect them. We are calling on a clear political commitment to a federally funded maternity health system that enables equality of choice (Midwife, GP, Obstetrician).”
So far 250 letters have been sent to representatives – let’s make more voices heard!
