The Australian Federal election is in its final days, and we have once again provided a candidate data set to allow campaigners to lobby would-be representatives on progressive issues. It just makes so much sense to target politicians when they are listening the most intently.
With the help of our campaigning community, Do Gooder's team curated the data, and supported over 18 campaigns pushing candidates to declare their position on progressive policies before the nation votes.
An additional benefit of this type of civic engagement is the smaller, independent campaigns receive emails from constituents with important data points on their vote impacting areas of interest. This list building normally costs money and the incumbents within the major parties already have voter data and huge lists, so the benefit is heavily weighted to the challengers and independents.
